After Kristen Mendenhall earned her BFA, she practiced the art of psychology for 30 years. Upon retiring to Jemez Springs, she returned to photography and painting where she expresses her reverence for our phenomenal geological setting. Her macro photographs and recent work in gypsum and acrylic invite the viewer to focus in on the subtleties in color, pattern, texture, and story.
