James A. Vigil was born at Jemez Pueblo, NM, and
has lived in this ancestral community for most of his life. It is
from his experiences in a vibrant culture, daily life, and Towa
language that James draws his artistic influence. James enthusiastically
depicts glimpses of pueblo life through carvings in alabaster, steatite,
marble and other stones as well as limited bronze editions.

Betsie Miller-Kusz was born in Los Alamos, New
Mexico and has been painting for over 30 years. Her work has been
exhibited nationally and internationally, including a recent show
at the United Nations building in New York City. Her most recent
works combine natural elements of earth, air, fire and water with
a feminine guardian figure -- a protector of our earth.

Susan Vigi-Vigil is a life-long painter and retired
art teacher who calls Jemez her home. She specializes in plein air
oil paintings of Jemez landscapes and figures. Her desire is to
capture the essence of God's creation as it is during a particular
point in time so that others may enjoy its magnificence.

Theodore Greer was born in Gallup, New Mexico,
and has studied photography at the San Francisco Art Institute and
the University of New Mexico. His photographs of people, scenery,
and archeological sites have appeared in numerous shows, publications
and private collections.

Ruth Marcanti works in water color, pastel, oil
pigments, collage and assemblage. She is also a member of Jemez
Artisans Gallery (just across the street from the Jemez Fine Art
Gallery).

Doug Wallower is a
sculptor who works primarily in metal and stone. His unique figures
employ natural and man-made materials and may be placed outdoors.

Jim Forcier-Call is
a mixed-media artist whose art explores the symbolic and mystical
aspects of "the soul's long journey home." Primarily self-taught,
his unique and eclectic work often includes words or quotes, and draws
from many diverse traditions. He has also taught workshops in making
altered books. |

Erica Kane is a pastel artist drawn to the natural
world as a source of inspiration, teaching, healing and comfort.
Her work also explores Sacred Geometry, which describes the "metastructure"
of growth, change, stability and strength in nature. The gallery
displays her original pastel works.

Kristen Mendenhall received her BFA from Pitzer
College, Claremont, CA. During her career as a psychologist,
she became certified as an art therapist, using this to help children
who lost their homes in several major CA firestorms. After
retiring to Jemez Springs, she returned to photography and painting
where she expresses her reverence for the geological beauty of our
area. Her macro photographs invite the viewer to focus attention
on the easily overlooked details in weathered stone and paint.

Carol Vredenburgh is a lifelong
artist who lives part-time in Jemez Springs and specializes in watercolor.
Her art is her way of saying "thank you" to the Creator for the
great gift of life and the beauty that surrounds her - especially
in New Mexico!

Deb Pero considers her creativity a God-given
gift, and herself a steward of that gift, so she works as hard as
she can, dedicating herself to constant learn and improve in her
craft. She considers herself fortunate to be able to spend her time
in such a wonderful endeavor. She says painting is hard work but
a joy as well, something she was meant to do.

Arthur Rosenberg works
in many media, including large outdoor installations, acrylic painting
and small mixed media pieces. He shows his wrapped rocks in the
gallery. They are small meditative pieces incorporating materials
found in Nature and influenced by the simple elegance of Japanese
art.

Peter Harrington paintings, in oils and watercolors, are
metaphoric with
primal themes, often nature-oriented. His elementary schooling included
pine
trees, red dirt roads and mountain streams. Fine arts degrees from
Carnegie-Mellon and Purdue University.
